Framer’s video ad: “I spent the last few days using @framer 3.0 and I’ve got a lot to say about this massive update.”

How it opens

“I spent the last few days using @framer 3.0 and I’ve got a lot to say about this massive update.”

Angle: Urgency

Why it works

It has run for 73 days. Brands keep paying only for ads that make money, so this one is proven. First-person ads read like a post from a real person, not an ad.

How it’s built
  1. Hook: I spent the last few days using @framer 3.0 and I’ve got a lot to say about this massive update.
  2. Benefit: What makes this so powerful might be hard to miss if you’re judging it on canvas updates alone.
  3. CTA: Sign up
What to borrow
  • Put a specific number in the first line.
  • Use a deadline only when it's real.
  • Test a ugc ad for your own product.
  • It has run for over a month: the idea is proven demand, so test it in your own words.
Its words

I spent the last few days using @framer 3.0 and I’ve got a lot to say about this massive update. What makes this so powerful might be hard to miss if you’re judging it on canvas updates alone. So here are three use cases I found right away.

The transcript

Framer 3.0 just launched, there's a lot of hype, so I'm gonna test three workflows on a real project. The first thing I love has nothing to do with AI, it is their version control. Because now you can create a new branch, rename it, merge it back into main, or discard it if you went down a rabbit hole that didn't end up working out. This feature alone would have been huge news if this was released a few years ago. But let's get into the good stuff. Now, I'm starting small. I'm having Framer's agent convert my website into light mode, easy enough. So it's taken about four minutes, it got about 90% of the way there. But in Framer, it reused our existing color tokens and it created new ones to be reusable in our entire design system. And that's what I'm evaluating when I look at these AI-powered canvas tools. How well does AI's output wire up to the features of the tool? Because no matter how much AI I use, I'm gonna put my hands in the clay. And when I do, it better be easy to mold. Now, I'm gonna give it one landing page brief. Now, this OneShot is okay. It's mostly on brand, but it did make use of our master template, which was really useful. But OneShots are mostly a model question. And in 2026, there's no real professional evaluating a tool based on OneShots. The useful question is, does the tool's agent understand my individual workflow? Like right here, it's asking me if I want it to turn parts of this UI into Framer components. And the answer is yes. Now look, we've got some reusable components, these collapsible rows. Nice. Now for the real test. Let's use Framer's external agent with my coding agent, in this case, Codex. And side note, I'm finding that the tools that build features for my custom agents, I'm personally, me, the human, spending more time in those tools. And the ones that aren't doing that, I'm starting to unsubscribe to. Okay, so the output still has the typical AI artifacts. There's too many gradients, some of the elements that'll change manually. But most of this, like right here, this is Framer components using my templates, colors, our type structure. This is, this is cool. It auto-generated these CMS collections for repeating types of content. This is extremely useful. So Framer 3.0 just launched with agentic AI at its core. And if you look at the dashboard, this looks just like Framer. It's pretty simple. And that's actually what I love about this. And I encourage you to check this out because in my opinion, this is a massive win for design agencies and marketing teams.
