The diagram is the guide Adwright’s video editor uses, not TikTok’s own numbers: the top 10% (tabs), the bottom 20% (caption and sound) and the like, comment and share buttons from 86% across, 45% to 80% down.
A long caption or an add-on (a card, a button) covers more: check against TikTok’s template for your ad.

YouTube’s own Shorts editor marks the area that isn’t safe with white lines, without numbers.

How Adwright uses these
Adwright makes every ad at its placement’s size, tells the image model where its words must stay, and checks each ad for words or faces cut off at an edge before you see it. The video editor can lay each platform’s safe zones over the preview. Paste a link and it makes the whole set: try it free, or see how it works.
Platforms change their layouts. If a number here no longer matches the platform’s page, the platform’s page is right: tell us at the support page and we’ll update this guide.
