Webflow’s video ad: “From bottleneck to growth engine.”

Running 103 daysFacebook and InstagramWinner

How it opens

“Greenhouse's marketing team used to open a dev ticket to change a font size.”

Angle: Transformation

Why it works

It pairs a small, vivid pain point with a concrete business result, so the reader sees themselves in the problem and believes the outcome. The named customer and the 40% figure add credibility, and the closing line repeats the headline's idea so the message sticks. The data also shows it has run 103 days, is still active, and sits on 12 active ads, which suggests the advertiser keeps backing this message.

Who it speaks to: Marketing leads and growth teams at B2B companies who depend on developers to update their website and want more control over launches and testing.

How it’s built
  1. Hook: The headline frames the shift from bottleneck to growth engine.
  2. Problem: A dev ticket was needed to change a font size, which shows how slow the old process was.
  3. Solution: Moving to Webflow lets the team ship campaigns in hours and run their own tests.
  4. Proof: Demo request conversions are up 40%, credited to a named customer, Greenhouse.
  5. Reframe: The site goes from a constraint to a growth engine, echoing the headline.
  6. CTA: Learn more button linking to webflow.com.
What to borrow
  • Open with a tiny, specific frustration your audience knows well, because it lands harder than a broad claim about inefficiency.
  • Use a before and after headline so the transformation is clear before anyone reads the body.
  • Tie a named customer to one hard result to make the proof feel real rather than generic.
  • Close by echoing the headline's framing to reinforce the single idea you want remembered.

The transcript

I think about Webflow as the way to actually do modern marketing. Greenhouse is a hiring software platform. Our mission is to make hiring work for everybody. Before Webflow, the website felt a little bit like a straitjacket. We were heavily dependent on engineers. Sometimes it could be months before we actually were able to roll something live. Webflow checked all of the boxes. I think for a long time we've been thinking about the website in very traditional and expected ways. But we are truly living in interesting times where everything is changing around us. And the impact of AI and LLMs and how people search and consume information is absolutely essential. And I feel really confident that Webflow is going to be able to support us in this agentic era as a marketing organization who really embraces and gets digital.
